Position Duties: Manager of all departments and functions and H&F Bread Co. General Accountabilities. Performs supervisory duties, including hiring, training, evaluating, and disciplinary counseling of all on-site employees, under the direction of the Partners and Director of Leadership.
Conducts staff meetings and orientations on a regular basis. Convenes and leads weekly management meetings. Monitors food, labor, maintenance and delivery costs to ensure goals are met. Monitors maintenance activities to ensure equipment is well maintained and cared for.
Ensures completion of various daily, weekly and monthly reports in a timely and accurate manner. Reviews payroll and payroll-related forms; discusses exceptions and unusual circumstances with Director of Leadership and approves/disapproves as appropriate.
Analyzes and monitors the market conditions in order to anticipate market changes or trends that could affect the profitability of the company. Oversees, develops and participates in various leasing programs to ensure their success. Understands and complies with state and federal law regarding food service production.
Plans for and supervises all required inspections. Prepares and follows guidelines of operating budget, and makes recommendations to maximize income and minimize expenses.
Integrates and analyzes the operations of various departments to achieve budgeted goals and owner's objectives. Monitors sales staff performance and implementation of programs developed by Partners and Marketing Team. Oversees use of proper supervision methods by department supervisors and that personnel issues are carried out in accordance with established Company policies and procedures. Solicits and reacts accordingly to positive and negative feedback. Provides training and serves as a mentor to subordinate Managers. Leads, attends and participates in training seminars as requested. Ensures all on-site staff has enrolled in and completed necessary courses.
Education/Experience Requirements: high school degree and 9 years’ experience as a restaurant manager
- 10% travel to unanticipated locations throughout the southeast of the United States.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required.
- Working knowledge of bakery equipment, including: Mixers, Dough Dividers, Convection and Hearth Ovens required.
- Experience managing a culinary team of more than 20 required.
- At least 7 years’ experience managing a restaurant with a bakery.
